What is the "nudge"

Simply put the "nudge" is the testing process of the dog selecting their partner.  We bring our available dogs that are suitable for the individuals needs into a familiar space, typically our training center where the only "new variable” in the dogs environment is the client. We observe the dogs bonding behavior to see which are most responsive to the client in order to narrow down the possible options. Normally over the course of the "nudge" a bond is identified. Once this relationship is confirmed in the eyes of the client and staff, the dog is matched with that client. The remainder of the dog’s training is focused on customizing the dogs abilities to meet the needs of that particular veteran.
